Welcome to My Magdalene Circle

Welcome, I'm happy to have your participation in this new forum for sharing and talking about Mary Magdalene and the Sacred Feminine. I'm Joan Norton, author of The Mary Magdalene Within  and the upcoming  Mary Magdalene: The Way of the Heart,

co-authored with Margaret Starbird.  On my website at
www.marymagdalenewithin.com you can read about my visionary experience with Mary Magdalene  in which I was given the most beautiful story about the respect and the love that Jesus felt for his Sacred Complement and Beloved.
This experience happened to me almost 12 years ago and  my life has changed so much since I was led into "the Magdalene world."  I've heard many people say the very same thing, their lives became richer, more meaningful, and more satisfying when they began the re-discovery of Mary Magdalene as part of their own spiritual heritage. It's been a shock to many to find out that we have a Sacred Feminine in Christianity. My friend Katia Romanoff, at
www.NorthernWay.org gives wonderful educational courses  on this in her Esoteric Christianity School.
Some people are most fascinated by the theological details that have been suppressed which point to Mary Magdalene as Sacred Complement, representative of the Divine Feminine,  and some people are more interested in how She makes herself known in contemporary ways through our ordinary lives. I'm probably more about that because , as a Jungian psychotherapist, I work with women about our inner lives, the spiritual dimension within us.
So, that's me...I hope you'll write comments and tell me about YOU.
I wanted to mention today that I participated in an Oprah Book Club discussion on
www.lisa.fm   this week about Eckhardt Tolle's The New Earth: Awakening To Your Life's Purpose , which Oprah is webcasting  for 10 weeks .  Lisa Osborn and I had a good talk about Tolle's idea that "the suppression of the feminine principle especially over the last 2,000 years has enabled the ego to gain absolute suprememcy in the collective human psyche...."   and that "the ego takes hold and grows more easily in the male than the female".   That's    such a powerful statement  and I felt it deserved a lot of time talking about what is "the feminine principle."   Wouldn't it be wonderful for us women  to have our say about this? Yes!
If you're interested in more about this book, Lisa Osborn
www.lisa.fm will be discussing it chapter by chapter right along with Oprah .
Before I forget, for those of you in the SouthEast, there's a chance to hear Margaret Starbird  on April 11-13  in Raleigh, North Carolina. See the details at
www.dancingmoonraleigh.com
    That's all for now.
    In Her Name, Joan
