Bloodline-The Movie
Yesterday Margaret Starbird sent me the website link to a new movie she's been interviewed for, called Bloodline, opening May 16th here in Los Angeles at the Leammle 5 Theatre on Sunset Blvd. Filmmakers Rene Barnett and Bruce Burgess have made a documentary "detective story" from the mysteries told in Holy Blood, Holy Grail, and of course, all Margaret's books. On the film's really beautiful website there is an interview with Margaret and Bruce Burgess , click on "Screening Room" to see it.
All of us in the Magdalene community will be happy to see that they've used the famous Kilmore stained glass window for their advertising, making it very clear they're in support of the Sacred Union love story of Mary Magdalene and Jesus. I've been using an enlarged version of the "Jesus and Mary Handfasting" Kilmore window at each meeting of the Magdalene Circle for three years and I can tell you, it's riviting to everyone. It's as though the visual image of Jesus and Mary Magdalene in love, holding hands, is within our psyches just waiting to come out.
From their very descriptive website, www.Bloodline-TheMovie.com , it looks like the filmmakers made "a raw personal journey " to find out for themselves whether Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married and a bloodline exists. They've
re-investigated the mysteries surrounding Sauniere's heretical documents apparently buried at Rennes-le-Chateau. They've followed the same mysterious storyline told in The DaVinci Code to the Priory of Sion. One of the other interviews on their website is with the current "General Secretary" of the Priory, Gino Sandri. They document their journeys into undeground places where these secret documents, and other artefacts, were found.
I have to confess that I'm not very interested in the bloodline story itself because I don't think we need any ideas of elitism or royalty connected to the Sacred Union, we all share in the bloodline of Mary Magdalene and Jesus. It's still fascinating though, to hear the "raw personal journey" of discovery of belief in the Sacred Marriage. Alot of women I know and alot of women in the Magdalene community around the world might describe their own rediscovery , reunion, reconnection, remembering of Mary Magdalene as the Divine Feminine as a "raw personal journey". It's great to have someone make a movie of theirs! And it's wonderful to see a slower examination of the secrets and mysteries that the Da Vinci Code showed with drama and a fast pace. Alot of people felt that the Da Vinci Code wasn't satisfying, that it only hinted. I think Bloodline will be thoroughly satisfying in that respect.
As you know, my personal work with Magdalene is to help us make a connection with our own "inner Mary Magdalene", where She exists as an archetypal reality. This inner reality consciousness of Mary urges all who feel it to express it externally, for she is Love itself. It looks like that's just what these filmmakers have done.
I'll end with this....Isn't it time we have a movie of Mary Magdalene telling her own story?
In Her Name,
Joan

I agree, the image of Mary Magdalene has been abused for many years by the Church in the image of a prostitute. Magdalene's voice should be heard, this movie is a great stepping stone in that direction!!

Thank you for posting information about Bloodline. I was wondering if you knew anymore blogs that would like to post information as well. I am one of the publicists working on the film, and would like to spread the word even further. Feel free to post the information below onto other blogs, or forward to friends. Thanks!
More than three years in the making, BLOODLINE takes up where Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code left off, uncovering some remarkable artifacts that beg the question, was there a Jesus-Mary Magdalene bloodline?
BLOODLINE investigates the popular belief that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, who fled to southern France with their child. In an adventure worthy of "Indiana Jones", filmmaker Bruce Burgess and team crack the shadowy secret society, known as the Priory of Sion. Their investigation follows clues linking the Knights Templar and the legend of Mary Magdalene with messages embedded in the decor of the famed church at Rennes-le-Chateau in France, leading ultimately to stunning discoveries: a buried chest with artifacts dating to 1st century Jerusalem and a hidden tomb filled with treasure and a mummified corpse draped in a shroud bearing a distinctive red cross.
Do these discoveries finally provide the proof that the BLOODLINE exists?
If you are interested, we'd like to send you "insider tips," video clips and updates before the mainstream press gets a hold of it.
The film won't premiere until May 9th but Cinema Libre Studio and the filmmakers are planning to release new information about their discoveries every few weeks until then.
The BLOODLINE website has just been re-vamped with never before seen clips including:
* Director Bruce Burgess reflects on the film
* Exclusive interview with spokesperson from the shadowy secret society, the Priory of Sion
* The discoveries: a buried chest in southern France with 1st century artifacts from Jerusalem
* Ben Hammott explains how he deciphered clues hidden in the church at Rennes-le-Chateau leading to an ancient tomb with treasure and a mummified corpse!
Check out the new website at http://www.bloodlinethemovie.com
I've attached the BLOODLINE poster for you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. Thanks for your interest in the project. It is much appreciated.
Thanks,

Dear Joan: You are so right, it is exciting to see a whodunnit type treatment of the mysteries surrounding Holy Blood Holy Grail. Magdalene went to France, the Templars may have protected her descendants, Rennes-le-Chateau (RLC the mystery buffs call it in shorthand) holds secrets in stone to rival only Rosslyn Chapel in the U.K., but that's all we know. Sounds like these guys are gonna dig into the details. Just hope they aren't going to say the mummified corpse with a red cross over it is Jesus', since we just went thru the whole Talpiot tomb where supposedly his bones were found! It's getting confusing... but most intriguing and as always, thought and discussion provoking!
Love your new blog, I will be visiting often!
Smiles,
Katia

Dear Katia, You raised an important issue for me when you said "we just went through that" about Jesus' bones in the tomb. It seems impossible not to get our hopes up about external, physical proof of the Sacred Union. It can be such an emotional roller coaster ride (speaking for myself anyway) to want to be vindicated for one's point of view. Intuitive women suffer from this the most, I think, because their (our) mode of perception is just about completely unprovable. Until later. Maybe way, way later.
I too hope we see some wonderful artifacts that support our scriptural knowledge, our metaphysical knowings, and our heart's wisdom about the Sacred Union at the center of life. I'll just let myself go on the roller coaster and see what happens this time.

There is always a lot of conjecture about the true story of Jesus and His Disciples, of which, Mary was one of many women who knew Him as a Miracle Worker, demonstrating The Kingdom of God On Earth In The Hearts of Men...which is loving Him as their Creator and loving one another as we should love ourselves. Agape Love is the key to discovering man's Creator and to eternally living in the hearts of all men (and women).
I suggest that if Yeshua (The Hebrew name for His English "slang" name, Jesus")is really The Son of God as described in the 66 Books of writings spaning over 5000 years of human history...then He is fully capable of introducing Himself to anyone that really wants to know the "truth" about who He is and what He did in a human body when He came to earth as "the son of man" and still held the position of Creator of "all things" (which is a concept that is really beyond human thinking. What is amazing to me as a human, with just a U.C.L.A. Motion Picture Department Degree, and a Masters Degree in Education from Cal State University at Long Beach, how I can even "think the thought that there is a Creator who created everything and "has no beginning of existance"? I know such a thought is beyond my comprehension just as the thought that, hypothetically, a perfect round object like a ball, has no beginning spot, nore even a perfect round one dimentional circle on a piece of paper. How can something have no beginning? Isn't that an amazing thought for a human mind to even think about when we cannot even begin to understand such a thought? Where in the "name of heaven" did finite human beings ever get such a thought?
I suggest that a very productive and very provable "search for Yeshua" would best to simply and sincerely, ask Yeshua if He as one of the three parts of The Creator of All Things, became a man, suffered worse than Mel Gibbson could have possibly depicted in his watered down Passion film in order to "pay the price that He allowed man to be tempted into by Satan (who was never tempted by anybody), and then rose from the dead as stated by many New Testament Writers that also indicated how Yeshua had, in his life and death fulfilled over 300 ancient Old Testament prophecies, perfectly and exactly, and even today comes to show and talk to people today.
My suggestion is why not simply ask Yeshua if He married Mary and save yourself a lot of expensive research and digging! If He is really alive, and your really want to know...then He will let you know just like He let an unbelieving, Doubting Thomas...one of his "inner circle 12 Disciples. In fact, He knows you doubt or you would not be asking the question...right? Those of us who have doubts about Him or anything are no different than Doubting Thomas who Yeshua loved no less than He loves every Human Being that he has created! Try asking Him, with a real open heart and you will get your answer...I did, in spite of all my Univ. educatio

Hi Chuck,
What you say is so true, why don't we just ask Jesus if he was fully human as well as fully divine? The answer seems to be coming from inside more and more people that it makes no sense that Jesus-as-God would be without female divinity in his story. There's no precedent for that, there is a "Mrs. God" in all the world's religions. There are so many reasons to ponder Jesus' life as a "sacred union of flesh and divinity", which he could only portray as a story of Sacred Union with a woman. You've probably read Mary Magdalene: Bride in Exile to understand just exactly where in the Gospels their sacred union story is told.
You might enjoy reading Dr. James Gardner's Mary Who? , which is a very thorough textural analysis of the passion narrative of Sacred Union in the gospels. He comes to the interesting conclusion that the anointing of Jesus by Mary Magdalene is mentioned or referred to more than any other piece of story....making it the most important, most prominent story in the New Testament.

I would recommend that all of the persons connected and shown in this film
do some serious research in "The Bible Code's" recent writings of Dr. Larry Mitchum (double P.h.d) Best Seller Author, Grant Jefferies, the author of "The Signature of God." And "Theomatics" which is co-authored by Jerry Lucas, known as www.doctormemory.com who has been able to use his, final , Godly designed memory system to memorize the entire New Testament using a memory system based on the Biblical numerical, symbol, and pictorial systems that God used to give His prophets the exact words with exact letter symbol placement in order to write them down so precisely that a very complicated code could be created in the Torah and, later, even in the Greek language in The New Testament.
After you all have become completely familiar with these two codes then use them to find out what they have to say about the DaVince Code....I am sure God's comment about The DaVince Code is in His Codes. I also recommend that all of you become familiar with Dr. Chuck Missler's commentary on The Book of Matthew (www.khouse.com or .org), in the portion of teaching that comments on the amazing numeric system in the description of the
ancestry of Yeshua (Jesus to you English speaking slang users). If you really want to hear about a fantastic "null-hypothesis" in statistics...this one will, literally, blow your mind away!

You might be interested in Margaret Starbird's approach to the gematria of the New Testament in Magdalene's Lost Legacy: Symbolic Numbers and the Sacred Union in Christianity . Gematria is a symbolic language more than a code, and as such it expresses deep philosophic perceptions and ancient spiritual truth. It was used commonly by the Greek writers of the gospel stories to convey layers of meaning to their descriptions of the everyday lives of Jesus and Magdalene.
