I"ll be talking about Chapter 8 of A New Earth: Awakening To Your Life's Purpose on Lisa Osborne's show on April 23, available on podcast at www.lisa.fm . Tolle correctly recognizes the denigration of the feminine as the cause of the problems of our world, and the sickness of the planet. "Women are more in touch with the inner body and the intelligence of the organism where the intuitive faculties originate, " he says. Chapter 8 is about finding and listening to your inner being so you can recognize your own intuitive knowings. It's our own intuitive knowings ....woman's wisdom....that will likely lead us to the "New Earth" .
To me, the new earth, which in spiritual circles is sometimes called "the New Creation", will be one which is in respectful rhythm with the natural cycles of birth-growth-death of Nature and in the human realm, of the Mother's rhythms. If we studied the normal everyday wisdom of normal everyday mothers, we might learn how to treat each other and our home planet. As above, so below. Feminine values on earth reflect knowledge and respect of a feminine spirituality. Of course that brings me right to Mary Magdalene and Jesus as our own Divine Couple "archetype of Wholenessand Union". Sacred masculine and divine feminine in partnership. They embody the hieros gamos, which is the archetypal pattern expressing the earth's holy and divine patterns of Creation.
I hope I can do a little something towards expressing Tolle's philosophy in terms of everyday women's wisdom.

I look forward to check out the podcast. Tolle has been holding the wisdom of the new millennium for a long time.
I wonder if we can go beyond the gender identification, and see the masculine and feminine sides of creation as forces of nature that have to work in balance with each other. We'll then see that every project, every activity takes on these two forces and doesn't come to completion unless they are both present and working in harmony.
Even the earth itself shows us this. Imagine a sundial. See the arrow in the middle as the male force going through the center of the earth, giving it direction and energy to move foreward. See the rotation of the earth exemplifying the female force, circling around the male. Together they form the spiral motion, which keeps everything in the universe in place.
As soon as this is understood, that there is no one more important than the other, that they hold different functions but both has to be present to make anything move, maybe we will understand more about partnership and union.

What a lovely description of the intented harmony of the masculine and feminien energy.....thank you for your insight and your poetic language. Please let us know when your book comes out in the fall, it sounds like it will be a wonderful contribution to the Magdalene "library". Joan
