Bloodline-The Movie
I guess I still have a few things to say about "Bloodline-The Movie". First, I think the ads of the Kilmore window icon of the Sacred Marriage will have much more influence than the movie itself. "One picture is worth a thousand words." If you want a copy of the ad with the beautiful stained glass icon of Jesus and Mary Magdalene "handfasting" in marriage, showing a clearly pregnant Mary, go to www.bloodlinethemovie.com and click on "Get Involved". You can download the image in postcard format or poster size.
And secondly, there have been discussions and questions about the validity of the science in the movie and whether or not it's a hoax, and I find myself wanting to defend the filmmaker's "quest story". Here's what I wrote in response to Dr. Jim Gardner on the Magdalene-list discussion forum.....
I completely understand what you're saying about the "over attention"
that various ideas get in the marketplace. Maybe it's lucky that the market
forces are ready to tear down just about anything, or build it up beyond
it's true worth. It seems like researchers need to be very careful about
stepping into popular culture. I take "Bloodline" to be one man and one
woman's(Bruce Burgess and Rene Barnett) interesting exploration of the most
interesting question of our time. To me, it's like they painted a picture
rather than that they wrote a scientific thesis. We are free to look at it
like we look at alot of the ancient art, to see a little bit of the artist's
psyche and the collective mind of the time. And to feel the artist's
emotional excitement about questing.
To me, it's a contribution to the new story we're all creating as we
find out more and more pieces of the real story that wasn't told. It's a
part of the spiritual democracy of individual styles of enlightenment.
Hopefully, everyone has their own intuitional truth-radar working for
themselves.

Hi Joan: I completely agree that the Bloodline movie's spreading of the Kilmore church stainglass window depicting Yeshua and a pregnant Magdalene holding hands and an obvious couple, makes it worth it alone. Even if the film has controversial and dubious whatever.... getting that photo into the collective consciousness, that awesome ARCHETYPE of the sacred union, is wonderful in itself.
I like the idea of a "new story we are all creating" as you put it. That is very inspiring to me.
Smiles,
Katia

Thanks, Katia, I never get tired of looking at that stained glass window picture. I imagine the movie will come out on DVD sometime within the next year (or sooner) and that will be exciting for more people to take a look. And more people to weigh in on the relics controversy. In the mean time, we go onward with our "new creation". Did you see that I've started a discussion about Magdalene dreams here ? There are so many symbols of Sacred Union that are jumping out of these dreams and visions, you can really see that "union" is the central organizing energy of the psyche. I know you work with dreams for other people too, I hope you'll participate sometime. I know you're busy with your kids and your NorthernWay mystery school and don't need another single thing to do....but your point of view is always great to hear. xoJoan
